Liquidation Price Calculator
Know exactly where your position dies before you open it. Enter your trade parameters and the calculator shows your liquidation price, how far away it sits and what that means in practical terms. Works for USDT margined perpetual contracts on any exchange.
How to Read the Result
The distance to liquidation is your survival budget. If the calculator shows liquidation 1.5 percent away and the asset routinely moves 3 percent in an hour, the trade is a coin flip regardless of your analysis. Professionals keep liquidation far beyond their stop loss, so the stop always fires first and liquidation stays a theoretical number. If your stop and liquidation are close together, your leverage is too high for the trade you are planning.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the liquidation price calculated?
For an isolated long position, liquidation sits roughly at entry price multiplied by one minus the inverse of leverage, adjusted by the maintenance margin rate. At 10x leverage, that puts liquidation close to 9 to 10 percent below entry. This calculator uses the standard USDT perpetual formula with a configurable maintenance margin rate.
Why does my exchange show a slightly different liquidation price?
Exchanges apply tiered maintenance margin rates that grow with position size, deduct fees, and in cross margin mode include your whole available balance as a buffer. This calculator gives you the planning number; the exact figure on your position panel is the one that counts.
Does higher leverage change my liquidation distance?
Directly. At 5x leverage your liquidation price is roughly 20 percent away from entry. At 50x it is about 2 percent away, inside the ordinary noise of a single hour in crypto. This is why position sizing and stop losses matter more than the leverage number itself.
